The product is great. It however, connects to my blackberry via bluetooh and when ever someone calls me it picks up. I like the high way suggestion, which gives a 3d view of the highway and tells you which lane you are suppose to get into. This doesn't read my blackberry 8330 emails and it doesn't have verizon in it's system. So it's great for hands free driving. Great product overall.

I held off for some time but gave into technology. Finding places of interest and just looking for a building is a lot easier with the Tomtom, and when you want to go home well just ask. I really like not having to ask my wife to look on a map for the next turn. Not that she is not capable, but her idea of where you are and yours doesn't always match.The Tomtom eliminates all of that. I may not use all the technology it is capable of, but so far it has been a great tool for the road. Paying FOR EVERY LITTLE FEATURE IS THE BIGGEST TURN OFF.

Be sure you put the correct address in. Finding restaurants in strange cities is so much easier. Two items we wish where better is the dash mount and the battery which seems to run down quickly using the text to speech feature. Anyway the TomTom has done exactly what we had hoped it would do. You do have to work some to get it to stay put. We do a lot of traveling in the summer and it certainly takes a lot of stress out of navigating in and around some of these busy cities. My wonderful husband didn't give me the complete address and it took us to a railroad track overpass, what an adventure. You do have to turn some of the features on, which it really did not tell you had to be done, but once you get the hang of everything it works great.

Having street names spoken takes the guess work out of where to turn. We have even tried to fool it by going another way and it just reprograms and off we go. The dash mount is more a suction cup type thingy which just doesn't appear that sturdy. All in all it has been well worth the cost

This product is great. i love the bluetooth hands free calling. i love the wide screen view and the FM transmitter is great for adding music and such updating your tomtom is very simple using the dock and tomtom home. Battery life is not the greatest but overall is ok cause i usually have it plugged into my vehicle. other than that i love this product so far. very pleased

I've been using Garmin GPS devices for 10 years (SP500,SP550, LEGEND, SP3 Colormap). So if you've got trouble seeing some small fonts and the daylight display washout doesn't bother you then it's a decent unit. Routing calculation is very fast and suggested routes have been fine.

The user interface is decent but a return to map button would save tedious effort back stepping. Garmin downloads are much faster. TomTom offers a more customizable screen which I find very useful.

Downloads to the TomTom are slow. I also like the mapping graphics better for the TomTom, but the upcoming street names are small and would benefit from an adjustable font size. The Garmins are a bit easier to read.

I gave the TomTom a 3 star review because the screen can be very difficult to see on sunny days, though I've been using my TomTom for a couple of months and my Garmin is collecting dust on the shelf. With hindsight I'd still make the purchase.
